I found the book Parenting with Love and Logic as well as the other books in the series a huge benefit to raising my 4 children. I went to a Love & Logic seminar when all 4 were teenagers. I found the principles based on how our Heavenly Father parents His children and values their agency while they are learning to become more like He and His Son, Jesus Christ.
When they were still at home, it helped them want to make good choices when they understood why their decisions were important and that their choices directly affected their lives, and they could control the quality of their lives. It is great now to see that our children know that they can act for themselves and not be acted upon.
As we have observed how others parent, they have been able to evaluate what works, what doesn't and why. Now that they know these things, I look forward to seeing them become much better parents that I was.

I do hope you might take time to try out the tutorial. It is so fun, and relaxing in it's own way.
Of course no one can build a bird nest like the birds. =0)
